I've had a truly refreshing weekend catching up with friends, which is something I haven't got around to doing for a really long time. It was a highly effective buffer to neutralize all the negative effects of (attempting to) study (:

But anyhow, these 2 weeks have been pretty slack at school. Plenty of time that's supposed to be used for revision and not for sleeping the mornings away and watching TV in the afternoon :/ Last week we had 2 medical stimulation sessions that lasted only an hour each. This week will be spent with Harvey (who's a cardiopulmonary stimulator) and it's been quite interesting so far.
Just today, we learnt how to work the ECG machine and take blood pressure using the auscultatory method.
The mechanism goes something like this: you have to pump the pressure at the arm so the brachial artery is completely compressed, then slowly release the pressure until you hear a tapping sound with the stethoscope when the blood first starts spurting through the partially compressed artery (systolic BP). Then, you have to slowly release the pressure again until you can't hear the tapping sound anymore when the blood returns to laminar flow because the artery is no longer compressed (diastolic BP).
I almost caused ischemia of my friend's arm because I couldn't hear the systolic BP point. And when I finally heard it, I was so excited that I released all the pressure and forgot that I was supposed to hear the diastolic BP point. So we had to do it again. Epic failure ): But it was fun nonetheless haha.

CA2 is up in less than 3 weeks sighh ): So begins the vicious cycle of intensive studying. I ought to be worried because revision has been almost non-existent in the past week. Spent it mostly in front of the TV, in bed, or out meeting up with people.
haha, die :\
okay, I really ought to be studying.

Dinner with the IP people! Where Colin and Ben were made to stand on chairs while the Fish&Co staff announced to the whole restaurant that it was their birthdays.
Alot of the 03 people pangsehed >.< But it was good catching up, I talked to people that I hardly ever talked to when we were still in NJ. How ironic huh haha.

Dinner with the ExCo! ♥
They never fail to give me a good laugh. We ate at The Soup Spoon and proceeded on to SMU where we sat outside the SMU Watsons like public nuisances :D I'm so thankful that despite meeting up barely once a month, we haven't grown that distant. Talked, made fun of Jer and Panse, camwhored, just like the old times beside the flower pots in the atrium. How I miss those days (:

This is Ong Shi, who's holding a yellow melon. haha and one would have thought going overseas would make her a changed, more glamourous, person. Apparently not :D
Come back to Sunny Singapore soooon <3
