Countdown to 2009, Year of the Cow :D
Fireworks were ooper pretty!
Works in the background (:
In those transient few seconds, Year 2008 was over.
It has been the most memorable and crazy year of my life. That's hardly an exaggeration; what with all the dance-related fiascos that got me messaging the ExCo during Physics or loudly exclaiming in the middle of Econs that we had no venue for Gn's, all the ExCo meetings, and the academics-related panic attacks which were never few and far between, and which intensified during every major examination, particularly the As.
Undoubtedly, this year has been the most stressful. At this age, I suppose it's normal especially As are our first major examination, and this year's A Level papers were unbelievably difficult (subjective, of course). Wow, we made it through alive. Despite the many times I felt like stress was going to overwhelm me and push me down the NJC hill, I feel like I've matured alot over the past year; not just from the ExCo experience but also from dealing with stress at another level. For someone like me who seems to feed on stress on a daily basis, that's pretty much an achievement.
I thank God for all His grace over the past year. I've had great teachers (save for one subject), great friends who've stuck around and made lessons so much more bearable, a great ExCo to confide in, and a wonderful mentor to whine to about after-JC life. It's been a truly blessed year, albeit with its roller coasters. Still, I'm thankful for 2008.
The next year is shrouded in uncertainty. Thinking about the dreaded results day is sending gut-wrenching pangs down my nervous system. But for now (:
To all those dear, all the best for 2009! May you have a wonderful and rewarding year ahead (: I will miss many many many of you now that we're going our seperate ways.
